South Entrance Sign AA-POMONA VALLEY LUTHERAN

Pomona Valley Lutheran (Norwegian) Cemetery
LaMoure County,
North Dakota

Plaque reads: "Pomona Valley Lutheran Church. Organized in 1886 by Norwegian immigrants. Disbanded in 1957. Members joined American Lutheran churches in Kulm and Edgeley. Cemetery land donated by Ludvig Larson in 1893 when his sister, Dina, died."

Gravestones have been numbered according to the sequence in which they were photographed in July 2010 by Allen E. Konrad. The numbers may help researchers determine possible relationships among those buried near-by. Photographing started, row by row, from the east side toward the west. Information in addition to what is on gravestones has been gleaned from Kulm Zion Lutheran Church records, Kulm History Books (1882-1992), and LaMoure County Burial Permits 1925-2007--compiled by Allen & Mary Lu Konrad in 2010.
